   Adolescence is a time when girls are forming their identity and self-esteem. Engaging in self-care activities that they enjoy and find fulfilling helps boost their self-esteem, as it reinforces the idea that they deserve to prioritize their own well-being and happiness. Taking care of themselves sends a message that they value themselves and their needs.  Overall, self-care promotes well-being, mental health, and self-esteem. It equips them with valuable skills to navigate the challenges of adolescence, develop resilience, and cultivate healthy habits that will benefit them throughout their lives.

 Not a Number is an interactive child trafficking and exploitation prevention curriculum designed to provide youth with information and skills in a manner that inspires them to make safe choices. G.E.M.S. will offer workshops utilizing this curriculum for girls to learn to identify and utilize healthy support systems that may decrease their vulnerabilities.

 Shining Gems is our community service group dedicated to developing a spirit of giving and social responsibility. This empowering program teaches girls the importance of giving back to their communities through hands-on service projects and collaborative initiatives.  Through these experiences, girls develop valuable leadership skills, build lasting friendships, and gain a deeper understanding of the impact they can make in the world around them. Shining Gems inspires young girls to become compassionate leaders and active contributors to their communities.
